The Florida Chapter of the National Professional Lobbyists Association (formerly NBPLA), chartered on February 19, 2025, serves as a statewide hub for Black lobbyists, government affairs professionals, and policy advocates committed to building community, strengthening professional development, and expanding access to decision-making spaces. Led by Davicka Thompson and Sharonda Placide, the chapter is dedicated to creating clear pathways for new and emerging talent through mentorship, training, and exposure to careers in advocacy and public policy, while promoting ethical leadership and effective representation across Florida.
